Mine is a 2010 and does the same, it follows on from when they updated the software and fitted a new gel battery, the software change also cut down the amount of time that the FBH will run for after switch on. As I recall the software mods were part of a service bulletin, but I'm sorry I cannot remember which one. Range Rover Sport 2023 D350 Autobiography

Sorry I should have said but I think the software mod was put in to protect the battery and problems people had been having, the result is that it is very protective of anything that is power hungry such as the TV and soon goes to shut it down. Range Rover Sport 2023 D350 Autobiography

so am i correct in assuming that if the 'shut down' error appears then you must have the software update already.. ... - .- -.

I would assume the software mod is in place, it was all part of the service bulletin which changed the battery to a gel type. I bought my car a little over a year ago from a main dealer, I had no problems with the car, battery was fine etc, however I noted on TopIX that there was this service bulletin outstanding so I advised the dealer and they carried out the job, changing the battery as well as the mod at the same time. Following which the timing for the FBH was reduced and the warning described appears.

the software mod is LESS protective of the battery than the factory setting.
