Split in an intake pipe or intercooler, Closes when it warms up |

Many thanks Craig. Is there any way of knowing which is the likely cause. Are there any tests I can do at home to narrow the problem down a bit?

I had a split fuel intake rail (low pressure) with similar symptoms. If its this you will smell the Diesel in the engine bay and see it looking down left side of engine as you look in. Possible fine mist of Diesel as well... |

I guess its the other bank it could be the right side as well! (Mine was the left) |
