I'd heard they had issues with supply of parts for the surround camera system for a while and you couldn't specify it, plus they've had battery and software issues since the launch.

I've always avoided the first years production of any Landrover for exactly that reason.

I think it's more a matter of luck.... For example, for 2007MY cars, if you have a look around the forums, you cannot find any real big probs with those cars. So they are not at all bad. But, go figure, it's stated also around the forums, that 2008 was a bad year...like in wines.... |

1) Not because of newer model, i think so. My car was one of the very first delivered 2007MY's, and to my knowledge, at the time, there were no extra delivery problems. It was the usual 3, 4 months... Maybe with new managment the teams have changed, which can mean extra delays. 2) As far as I can tell, none...It's not their problem, and also not their fault. 3) Not obliged to do it, but niceness sometimes can be applied by them. |

My neighbour is always trying to talk me out of buying a Range Rover as he has a friend that works in the RR factory. That friend told him that quality control in the Range Rover is terrible, and that gaps in the chassis are mended with chewing gum!
