I'm trying to figure out if my air suspension is working properly. My wife says that she's seen the car lower when stationary and engine switched off. I haven't noticed this to be honest.

Hi, not sure you fully grasp what access mode is?

The engine does not need to be on nor does the ignition need to be on in order to drop into access height.

That's the only time you should get that message. ie. When locked down. I routinely drop the car to access height to let the little lady have a sporting chance of actually getting out in one piece, when I then drive off the car goes back up to normal height on it's own with no dramas or bleeps. Only time I've had that message is when I've locked the suspension down and forgotten to unlock. Just a question though, the suspension rises on it's own from Access after you've driven 50 yds or so, but if you were to accelerate off at breakneck speed, and you exceeded 25mph before the suspension had a chance to go up, would you get that message? |

Is this the same for all years? I know on a 2002 I test drove and my 2003 the ign must be on or the engine running.... I'drive/terrain response systems will be different i'm sure. ![]() |

So, you pull up, turn engine off, take key out and press the button and it still drops?

I am aware what access mode is - my question was to establish whether it was working correctly. It does drop when the button is pressed, but it takes ages to go back up when driving off again. I had that message appear a couple of times but when I think about it now, the inhibit switch must have been on as the light was on. 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded |

Is the button meant to be pressed in with light on? If not and the car is in access mode and i just drive off will it auto go up? |

You can press the button with the light on or off.

the button that you can move up and down also presses in... Does this do anything different than having the light off? |
