I read on here so many reports of RR unreliability so far I've been to scared to take my RR abroad, am I overreacting - a trip to France would be nice. Very Happy

@Craig, Wink

@Geoff, its a little sticker [4euro] that allows you to visit certain french towns without paying a penalty for not having one..
i've been over to euroland with all my FF's and luckily had no problems.. do it, you'll definitely enjoy driving on the french roads. ... - .- -.

Any other tips for driving in France?

Any recommendations for a weekend break or even long weekend?

Just been looking at the photo of the rear of your car Stan and it looks like you have the usual dropped upper tailgate. This is a common problem with L405s.

Thanks for this tip think I have same issue.

well my loire valley trip is now done so i thought i'd post some pics of 'bob' in some very nice places.

we stopped at the le mans racetrack with intentions of just having a look round but there were some motorbike racing/practice going on so that was a bonus,

next was a chateau where we found out that there was a collection of old Cadillacs [and a de loren and a few corvettes] stored in two large garages ..the car collection was kinda left to ruin as the owner didnt get enough through put to make it a viable income so she closed it down ...so now only residents are allowed to view it..

we then travelled to amboise and stopped a few times along the loire river,

at amboise theres a sort of beach area near the river , we parked there and enjoyed the scenery,

nice bridge near saumur,

we then stayed at another chateau on the way back,

and finally a pic of 'bob' waiting at the eurotunnel,

the FF performed brilliant being very comfortable and returning over 40mpg on the 1360 mile journey..

the incontrol thingy showed a remarkable 45mpg from ashford to swindon,
