In the Land Rover yes, all the time, in the FF you get less waves I have found, although oddly, I get random waves from people on the side of the road in local villages, I don't know who they are!! Discovery 4 HSE

Not in the FFRR - they are too common really

I've got a modified Jeep Wrangler - when in that, most wave - even some modified Landrovers

Landrover owners wave to acknowledge a shared inner pain! Cause they know what you are going through!

Series Landrover drivers do it never had one in a FF yet.
Probably should as we know the pain is coming. Or why we dont wave is because taking one hand off the wheel means somthing might break! (again) Mine was a blue one! Smile

Here in Switzerland bikers wave at each other. I'm too polite not to but I find it irritating.

By coincidence driving through Waltham Abbey on the
way to work, pulled up alongside a black vogue se, very
nice, looked over and nooded to each other,, then I thought
my mission is now to get in front of the said car, so he can
have a look at the FullFat sticker on the tailgate. Mission Completed

I tried this on holiday. Driving through Glen Shiel I saw a 60 plate Vogue SE approaching so waved; he waved back. So I then waved at every other FFRR I encountered for the rest of the trip. There were dozens of sightings over the next 5 days, and not one of the others bothered to wave back! Won't stop me waving to others though......

Just put my plate on too, - why does it take so long to do now? Once you just went to the local DVLA office, had a nice chat with the folks, they gave you the forms and job done. Now it takes 3 weeks 'cos it all has to go to Swansea. What a pain!

In the defenders it's rude not to wave ! Wouldn't bother in the FFRR. Tried it, no response. You just end up looking a bit "special". Previously..

I get a lot of waves in the old Mini... funniest was when a whole primary school swarmed me at kickout time in the middle of shropshire the one time... made me look a bit creepy but they loved it! The FFRR is too polarising to get away with a wave IMO: some people just automatically hate you sadly. It's like the red trousers effect (and yes, I have been known to wear those!) Laughing
