Mick, 1791 allows you to enter sat nav details and destinations etc on the move. It only works with some vehicles though incl Disco 3 and Sporty's - depends upon which version of the sat nav disc you have installed... and I think LR disabled this feature for the 07 MY as it didn't work anymore

Make sure you are on the "home" screen, i.e. the one with the options for NAV, PHONE, AUDIO etc, very top middle press finger to screen, hold for 5-10 secs, then push the HARD NAV key - not the touchscreen one, until the DIAG PIN screen pops up Very Happy

It worked 100% in my 2006 FFRR 4.2SC - that's how I knew how to do it Laughing

It works on MY2007+ at least.

Now, ''Thrasher'', I can't give you that as a hack. The 1791 is hack but this one is not.
This is just a way to enter a place where you can test most of the MOST systems. You're not really watching TV but just testing the connection.

Either way, it works 100%. I also love the rear view on the move, and also the vehicle signals where you can see the battery voltage, the amount of dimming in the screen and instrument binnacle. Perfect...

Give us some more of those codes and/or ''hacks''.

Got it working while driving but i take it you have to go thru the procedure all the time when you switch the ignition off as it don't seem to store the settings ........ ====================================

Just like all the codes, none stay after ignition off.

Anyone interested in any other codes?

Yes please.
You could even make a list of the ones you know and what they do.

I will assume most people know the 1791 hack? Anyway, if not, hit the "home" button for the nav screen (2006-NOT 2010) so you get the menu with dest entry etc, press top middle of screen until Pin pad appears - enter 753 here and you get all the sat nav diags.

Please note - after playing in here you need to power down vehicle for 5-10 mins before control is restored to normal touch screen activities!
