I have seen a plastic thing on ebay, which plugs into the seat belt fastner, fooling the car that the seat belt is plugged in. Much better than mucking about 10 times every time you use the car. SC 4.2, 2012 face lifted, 25K miles, 1 previous owner

And you can sit in the seat whilst doing it. No sensor on the driver's seat as it would be going very far without a driver.

Bong Disabled on the new one. Not for the driver not wearing a belt, but i tend to put shopping on the passenger seat, and it sets it off. Yet again the Megaforum has the answer....

Just as an aside on the seatbelt recognition, the new discospurt has a nifty display which shows what seats are occupied and which have their belts on, very clever.  There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

It is v clever tells you which seal hasn't got the belt on, so if one of the kids isn't clipped in properly you know on the dash! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

On the L405, if you disable the bong, you disable that feature.

Shame you can't do the same with the door open bong. Very irritating when reversing the caravan. I need to open the door to see down the side sometimes, especially when it's not all in a straight line 'cos the mirrors are useless then.

Think that's bad, the 5 series I had wouldn't go into gear with the door open! So no chance of reversing with the door open to position accurately. It was infuriating! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
