The biggest thing is if they actually weigh or pressure it into the system after vaccing it and how long they vac for. Ideally engine should be reun and system vac'd while AC on. then engine off and system left in vac state for 20-30mins. Any loss of vacum and no recharge done. If no loss then recharge done by weight of r134a that the system needs with all vents open and AC set to max to ensure it is fully out and in to the system.

I use EZ Chill from Halfords. Done the FF and the golf. Works a treat for £25 a can |

Umm .. I have let Kwik-Fit attempt “air conditioning recharges” on two different vehicles at two different sites. I didn’t pay for either because the air conditioning performance was not improved by their service as per their T&Cs
