It could be a connector or wiring indeed, worth a check. Also you can take the connector of and see if the coupling can be activated externally by putting 12V on it directly.

Nope, now you just need to find a good Indy that can do the work for you or get your hands dirty. No clue what the clutches go for but Dan can probably give you a quick price And I bet Craig will do a great job as well if he is not to far from you MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
