A mate of mine is a salesman at an Audi dealership, and let me have a few kits containing whats left after they have done the cars, so I had more than enough to do a single car.

you are on about the right product yes - sorry should of maybe made my post a bit more detailed ![]() Its right about not wanting to seal things in - because my RR is 5 years old they had to do a cut and claybar of the car before applying the product. I know what you mean about OEM products - I often think because its included in the price you don't get the end result that you should - not that I have bought many brand new cars - maybe only 2 ![]() |

I have a funny feeling this is what I would like done to have done to Rodney and the Boss's Focus ST as the paint work on that is in really nice condition for a 60 plate car , but there are a few chips on the paintwork of Rodney and for a car of nearly 6 years old is to be expected .

I don't know whether there would "technically" be a problem, but any paintwork they do new will not be sealed, and if they have to strip any back etc, you will not know how far they have gone, so you could end up with some areas protected and some not.

Thanks , sounds like good advice and its nothing major just a few chips here and there , just wanted some sort of protection on the paintwork as I would like to think in general and after work done so far the paintwork is in good condition but I don't profess to know whether I am right or not. |
