I dont bother with it on any machines i deploy for people.

I gets wiped and W7 Pro installed instead or whatever version a downgrade will allow.

As a server admin the 2012 interface is a mix of W8 & W7 and it drives me crazy!

I end up doing as much as humanly possible thru RSAT's and then crying when i have to go near the things! FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

I am no expert, but I upgraded both desktop and laptop to W8 and immediately installed the free "classic shell" program - it works faster than W7, is supposed to be more secure than W7 but looks and acts like W7 - best of both worlds in my opinion, and as already mentioned above, when MS bring back the start button you can choose to uninstall classic shell.

So if you have W8 pre-installed how do you install "Classic Shell" then? Genuinely interested Thumbs Up

Had my first experience with windows 8 a few nights ago & I'm gonna be a Luddite & stick with 7 for as long as possible. Twisted Evil The reason women's minds are cleaner than a mans mind is that women change their minds more often!

New Zealand 2006 Range Rover Vogue SE Supercharged Java Black

I'm costing up a global 6500 device desktop upgrade and we'll be going W7, W8 is just too big a jump for business users that have no need for the Metro oriented functions W8 is designed around. As much as I like technology, I'll happily stick with W7 until it goes end of life in 2018(ish).

New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

We are doing a full upgrade of our systems (only some 600 users worldwide, excluding the vessels). Office 365 implementation, new servers/firewalls etc. But no W8, we plan to stay with W7 until W8 is seriously debugged and more user friendly.

I am postponing the purchase of my next personal machine to allow W8 to become more mature (planning to replace my slowing HP laptop with a All in One touchscreen, likely Dell XPS One 27 but not yet). MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!
