Its a Phone system being used on Laptops & PC's because it looks good to young ones and on TV Adverts.

They forgot that its the 45+'s that have all the money. Schoolboy error that will finish Microsoft if they do not launch W7+ pretty soon.... |

Eh? You can use Windows 8 just like 7 but switching to the "Desktop" view.

Yep, truly dreadful is 8. But there are plenty of downgrade options available on most new laptops, just that M$ don't publicise it a lot.

Switching to the "Desktop" view makes it look like a W7 Desktop but it certainly does not work like one! No Start Icon with Menu Tree in left corner, No right click for Dialogue Boxes on Desktop, No easy way to locate programs without a Desktop Icon, it goes on..... |

Not enough though you should be able to choose "Full W7 Mode"...... |

Yes. You can use downgrade rights, and install windows 7 if you want. But won't necessarily get the world's best experience if that hardware is not fully supported in Win 7. Graham
