To facelift or not to facelift that is the question.....

Ok so I have collected all the bits to update the front end of my 2003 vogue to 2006 look......

I am now starting to wonder if I can be bothered to do the work - I can afford a newer model but have grown attached to this one.

Anyone want to make me an offer for the kit of parts to do a facelift on a 2003 and help me make up my mind? "On first name terms with my local Dealer......now."

I suggest, do the upgrade, move it on (they seem to make more money than the original or is that the 2010 upgrades ???) and buy a SC Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Since you have the parts allready, have it done, or do it. I like the 2005 facelift a lot more then the 2010 and it will probably sell a lot easier. .

How much you want for it? I've got a bonatti grey vogue and might be looking to do it.

Facelift it. The original look is classic but the 2nd phase models look classic and handsome.

If you have the parts it's an easier conversion than the 2010 facelift. 2009 Vogue TDV8 Nara Bronze

Do it - I did mine a few weeks ago. Not too bad at all to do (if you have the nerve with an angle grinder)

Comport, did you completely remove the tabs with a grinder, right back to flush the wing?

Did you leave any of the tabs on at all?

The reason i ask is have you any gap between the lights and the wing?

Sorry for the hijack Cool

From what I understand the gap between the wing and the light is caused when the wing bracket is not fitted in the correct place, causing the bumper and thus light to be out of alignment.

Once the tabs have been removed and bracket installed in the correct place the light should fit flush against the wing edge.

I will be shaving off the tabs soon when my parts are complete. (Wheeler Dealers has a video showing how to do it to a L322) I was going to replace the wings with newer ones but they are so rare and expensive. I have an old damaged 2008 wing with bracket that I can use to work out the positioning. I am happy to post pics in my conversion listing soon for anyone else retrofitting. Tom

Grinding front wing

What about if the 06 facelift has already been carried out as it has on my 02.

Does that mean that all the grinding has been done and its simply new front bumper iron, new bumper,,front and rear lights? 2009 Vogue TDV8 Nara Bronze

2010 conversion also requires the head light carrier and bumper end brackets. New PDC loom, lighting resistors etc.
