2010 Side Grills ?

Hi all,

Currently looking at a 2010 Range rover (will be my first) and I notice that some of the 2010 models seem to have different side grills to others ?

Some seem to have the old(?) style 3 vertical slats, and others seem to have the newer vertical slats with 3 horizontal bars at the top ?

As an example :

vs

Was this just a visual option pack or something ? (both cars are definitely 2010 cars with the LCD dash etc).

Thanks!

Dave.

Both are correct. The 3 fin was carried over from the 2005-2009 style but is still correct on the 2010 shape. The other grill is more common and is on the later models colour coded to the car too. Tom

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover SE Td6 Zermatt Silver

I think originally post 2010 the Vogue retained the Three-fin and the Supercharged and AB got the new style. THen the Westminster was launched with the new style as Standard.

Thanks all, I presume it's easy enough to fit the newer type side grills to a 2010 car that has the original 3 fin type ?

Thanks guys, my mind is at ease now Smile - the car I'm looking at buying has the 'old style' grilles and I was worried it was an early 2010 non-facelift model or something Laughing

Is the 2010 touch screen sat nav any good ? - most manufacturers sat navs I've used so far seem worse than an old Garmin I bought 10 years ago ! Does it at least have 7 digit postcode entry?

What's the likelihood of it having updated maps on it ?

The satnav in the 2010 onwards is slightly better than the previous touch screen (06 - 10). But not much. It's essentially the same thing although the general interface is slightly improved. And yes it does have full 7 digit postcode entry - but so did the previous version.

The updates are now all done by hard disk so no more DVD updates. Can only be done at the dealer unfortunately - at full cost.

I have a 2010 Vogue with the 3 fins and also looking to change them to the newer style so let me know if you find a good source for some replacement parts!

Nigel
