I had TG performance filter on my Sport Supercharged and thought it was worth it, made it nicer to drive, easier revving and also the exhaust note changed for the better. There was a minor improvement in economy too.

yup, the screws are captive in the air filter top cover so don't worry about them falling into the engine bay.

Once they are all undone you'll need to jiggle it about to break to seal and lift it off. Also, remember to completely slacken off the jubilee clip on the pipe to the side of it.

Here's some pictures of my Supercharged Sport as I was doing it:

Was fitting the ITG filter a worth while cost upgrade for your Sport S/C ?. I have one and am pondering over the ITG & K&N brands at the moment, K&N seem the cheapest @ £35 whereas the ITG is double that despite the ITG website stating its £45.

How long did you have it fitted and did it ever cause you any sensor problems due to oil etc?

I've recently fitted a K&N to mine. Small improvement with economy. Good value for a long term purchase. I like them. I will post some pics when i get home tomorrow. Ian

Is yours a S/C model?. What small improvement in economy did you see?

I'm looking to add a smaller upper pulley to my supercharged to increase performance so cant help think this will be beneficial aswell.

No TDV8, although i believe the filter to be the same. When i say small improvement = the computer is showing +1 mpg average (22.9-24.0). Every little helps Thumbs Up Ian

The part number for K&N to fit 3.6 TDV8 MY2008 is 33-2857 (£39.30 inc p+p) search for part numbers and cross reference with the K&N website http://www.knfilters.com/

Six phillips screws to undo, they are captive so no need to remove them all the way...........

Lift the top cover and withdraw old filter...........

If necessary hoover out any loose debris........

Place in lovely new K&N..........

Close the lid, ensuring a snug fit and retighten the six screws. Ian

Hi guys

I just dropped in the ITG filter on a MY06 S/C.

Can I feel a difference?

Smoothness - i think it is running a bit smoother...
MPG - who knows (or cares!)
Sound - not really much different

Overall, 5 minutes and £50.

Worth it...

pdt.
