The cheapest L405 I have seen is £76k Ade Thumbs Up

That's must be a 3.0 Vogue Mick. Any details? I may opt for the 3.0 this time but would like an AB fully loaded. Current MY2020
Gone: 1 x L405 and 2 x L322's

Oh, my little trial for the day.......Boiler packed up. Called one plumber. Never turned up. Called another. 2 effin grand for a new boiler. Censored

Suffice to say I'll be doing the repair myself. Damn plumbers need to buy a calculator from Office World, not Fisher Price.

Everything on the internet is free, you must be doing it wrong.

Gardening I do it and window cleaners use the same bucket of crap for every house so I'll do it!

the 'air flow valve' is the normal cause for boiler failures, had mine done by british gas for £199.. ... - .- -.

Yeah, I got to that Stan. British Gas are coming out tomorrow to fix it. Even though I'm not in their maintenance club they offered to come and do it for £99 all in, inc Parts, Labour, callout and VAT as long as I join their maintenance thingy for 12 months @ £21 a month.

So, £351 all in which includes the repair, a service and 12 months of cover for future failures. That's over 150 quid less than the cheapest plumber would do the repair for. Plus of course BG will turn up when they agree to, won't suck air through their teeth and won't find ways to inflate the quote either.

To be honest I reckon the days of the independent plumber are numbered, especially when you consider that BG also quoted me a couple of hundred quid less for a replacement boiler (same make & model) than the local plumber.

We had new boilers by PGS-SERVICES and they were excellent and include their own free 10 Year Boiler Guarantee (Other than manufacturer). Proper trained Engineers unlike the British Gad cowboys. Thumbs Up

the beauty with british gas is that they can swoop down on your house like ants if they have a problem or need help..i had four fitters and vans parked outside my house when they did my water heater tank and time was getting short, loved the response and commitment.... ... - .- -.

Never had a problem with any BG gas engineers anytime I have had to call them out plus I have 38 Radiators in this house and the engineers even take the time to go round and bleed them all whenever needed Thumbs Up ====================================
