I completed my 2006 facelift conversion today and after fitting the bumper noticed it didn't match the rest of the car!

I had the bumper sprayed up off the car and then fitted it myself.

I drove over to the spray shop this afternoon, they contacted their supplier who informed them there are two shades of Bonatti!!

I have given them a fog trim off my old bumper and the paint supplier needs to colour match it.

Apart from the colour, the front end looks the business

There are actually 3 shades of Bonatti, beleive it or not!

We have 6 shades in water based

I did not have to pay for their mistake but i lost a few days waiting for it.

Since I have only used body shops that scan the actuall colour of the car, not a sample in a catalogue.

Also, make sure the bodyshop lads are passionate about what they are doing, ditto for their boss, and that they can understand what you want if you are as picky as I am... l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l

Do all colours have different shades?

Why not have a code for each shade printed on the car?

Well I had mine painted last year, and it was the wrong shade of epsom green.......... the upper tailgate, rear bumper, rear quarters (both sides) and into the rear doors.

The spray job was good, just the wrong piggin shade. Looked a right mare when the sun hit it. Like some custom paint job down the side.

Ended up with another spray shop, who said "thats the wrong shade green - should have been the darker epsom green" as soon as they saw it.

Sorted now.....£400 lighter..........
