The market seems to be all over the place at the moment.
Looking at 4.2 SC examples of the same model year and they seem to vary between £14k and £19k for what appear to be similar mileages and specifications.

What are 4.2SC models in the 2005 model year changing hands for at the moment? Not really sure where to aim.

I never thought to look at the Land Rover approved list. What do you guys think of this one? http://www.usedvehicles.landrover.co.uk/search#/details/2001429

Reckon I could drive that home for £17k?

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

There are people on here better qualified to give current CAP price etc, but I reckon at 18.6k is toppy for that mileage.
Mine is same car, April 06 (so higher road tax Sad ) with 60k miles . I paid about that a few months ago.

A £1700 discount might be a bit strong ? But maybe some money off and a decent warranty thrown in? Alcohol and eBay is never a good mix

Well, decided against that one in the LR dealer. Pricing just seemed too high and they weren't willing to negotiate enough.

Just spotted this one in the trader: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/adv...?logcode=p

I like that it's had a replacement gearbox. I shall give them a call later and see if it was done by LR and whether it was a new one or a recon.

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Tonga Green

I would add one piece of advice from one biker and petrol head to another, whilst the TDV8 is an epic engine, if you are a massive petrol V8 man, the TDV8 is not the same to live with.

Technically it is fantastic, Mechanically it is fantastic, economy wise, it makes sense. BUT if like me the sound is 90 percent plus part of the deal then stick with petrol. I swapped my 4.6 range rover for a tdv8 and still miss that burble.

Head = TDV8
Heart V8 petrol.

In terms of reliability I have had 2 classics, 1 p38 and this tdv8 and none of them have ever let me down leaving me stranded. I would recommend a warranty direct warranty. As everyone has said on here all over the forum buy on condition and things should be good!

It has to be petrol. I've owned 1 diesel car (BMW 730d) and I'll never own another.
Every time I started it in the morning, I died a little inside.

Yes, I re-evaluated what I can stomach as far as fuel economy is concerned.
