iid tool Tight tolerance ?

Is the IID tool able to put the suspension into tight tolerance mode as recommended by Landrover for optimum alignment? Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

Apparently it sets the suspension setting to the optimal position so that alignment can be done accurately. It is recommended this is done before having a 4 wheel alignment done.

see here borrowed from our sister site worrying thing is every alignment i have had has been done at std ride height as I'm sure most of us have.

hum i wonder if there's a tool to set the wife in an optimal position so that alignment can be done accurately.
I don't mind the std ride height but tighter tolerences sound better.... Laughing Laughing

Set tight / normal tolerance
This will set the EAS ECU into tight or normal tolerance mode. In normal tolerance mode, the EAS ECU
will adjust a corner when it’s +/- 10 mm or higher than the desired height. For example if the corner is
at +9 mm, it will not correct the height. If the corner is at +11 mm, the EAS ECU will make adjustments.
In tight tolerance mode, a tolerance of +/- 3 mm is used.
CAUTION
The tight tolerance mode should only be used when calibrating or
when the wheels are aligned. Leaving the EAS ECU permanently in
this mode can lead to premature failing of components

a quick chop from the instructions says it can

Thanks, Soggy.
If Dan were still around there'd be a "RTFM" coming... Laughing

Please do not leave the vehicle in tight tolerance mode, though. It will cause issues. Some of us here know this little detail more intimately than most others. Whistle
