These Range Rovers are big, heavy durable cars with large, low reving engines. I would expect them to go farther and last longer than a little ecobox with a 1.0L engine. You might be right, but I'd hope that a properly taken care of FFRR with 150K miles would still have a lot of life in it. |

The thing is they are a bit like big yank tanks in that they will spend a lot of time cruising at speeds well over 40mpg a lot of the time on highways and biways.

^ I agree with all of the above. I posted this as a guide to whoever was interested in the costs of buying and running a 2nd hand FFRR. I loved the car. I look forward to my next. It was never a financial decision to replace it, more one of function.

From experience your Porsche is going to cost a lot more per mile. But who cares! Enjoy Which model of Porsche did you choose? MY23 D350 HSE On my 7th RR plus various other JLR vehicles |

I bought a Cayman. Again, Selling the FFRR had nothing to do about cost.

I'm sure I've been hit hard by depreciation - but hey ho. My wife can't understand it when I am outside bodging and messing with an old car that sometimes won't start - she says one grumpy and unpredictable thing in the house is enough
