Airbag warning light after about 25 mins of driving

Getting used to sending the car into the garage for 1 repair to be fixed only for it to be returned with more...

Recently had an oil service, MOT, front discs and pads and drivers heated seat fixed (again - this time it was the blower fan).

Now (from the first drive) the airbag warning light comes on after about 25 mins of driving. If I stop and restart it resets itself but comes on almost straight away. If left for a period it will take another 25 mins to come back on.

Also had the TPMS have a fit the other evening - kept showing a fault, then clearing, then showing a fault again in a constant cycle for the last 5 mins of the journey (that's not returned yet...)

Any ideas? It's going back to be checked over but I'd like to give them a pointer - current presumption is that a connection has been loosened while replacing the seat heater blower but would this cause the above?

Many thanks

there's a airbag pad under the seat leather so it could have been damaged when the heated seat was repaired or the connection is loose.. ... - .- -.

I get the intermittent TPMS fault after a journey unless I have the tyre pressures above 42psi. If i have them at 40, the light will come on for second or two occasionally. Bit confusing because I would have thought that once the tyres were warm and pressure higher, the warning would be less likely at the end of the journey. Confused 2007 TDV8 Vogue SE Java Black

Thanks Stan - any idea why it will only come on after about 20 mins - it's pretty consistent.

not sure why 20 mins is the cut off point, maybe some part of your journey where you might move on the seat causing the fault or do you have the heated seat on and at that time it switches off..could be anything really... ... - .- -.

This is a total guess, but heated seat sometimes have a timer. Could that be causing it?

Logic does say it will be connected to the seat being removed, first port of call is to check all the connections at the base of the seat. Does the heated part now work ok? When I was doing my seat refurb, the only time I caused a warning light to come on was when I disconnected a seat with the battery connected, but that resulted in the airbag being on all the time. I did have an intermittent warning light but since changing the battery it has never come on. It was disconnecting the seat belt tensioner that started my warning light off. Hope that helps. One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!
