I had my seat apart to colour change it and I dont remember it being in the leather, I changed the foam pad though and seem to remember it being almost glued to that, it all came apart and swapped over no problem [/img] One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching! |

The elements are inside a foam type material and are definitely stitched in with the leather cover on earlier cars. I have a set of theses seat base elements ready to go in my seat which have been unpicked from a new cover, I'll post a picture up later. They are completely different to the later type.

The seat is very easy to remove dude, do not attempt it in the car. the seat is pretty heavy, you need to seperate the squab and backrest, if you get stuck let me know and ill try and talk you thru it but it was a while ago and ive been in a coma since then !!!!! Luckily the base is the easy part to strip down, a little tip to make life easier is the leather part is pulled under and located with metal clips, I cut these and put back together with cable ties. Well today I took out the drivers seat and stripped it down ready to retrim, only to find the reason for what I was doing (heated seat not working) to be a broken connector, so soldered it all back together and repaired. Put it all back together, fixed the switch bank and not it works perfectly! So the new seat trim I bought is no longer needed lol. |
