United Kingdom 2004 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Oslo Blue

I had the drilled and grooved one from Britpart (I think) good discs and worked well. Bought them for their anti corrosion coating to prevent the rears looking awful due to corrosion on the lip. They worked very well and looked more substantial. Downside was under heavy braking say (70>10 on a motorway slip road) you could hear a quite loud fluttering as the slots wizzed by the pad. Sounded like a warped disc but no vibration. Just my 2p worth. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

I emailed duckworths today and the guy there replied quickly as I was informed. For a full set of front and rear pads, discs and the sensors that they recommend should also be changed I was quoted just over £500. Obviously these are genuine parts which is really what I want to use with a 2.5 ton beast. Does that sound like a fair price and if not does anyone have any suggestions of other places that would be the same quality but cheaper?

No that's just to supply them. If you break it down the discs are £73 front £63 rear, pads front £62 rear £72 and the sensors are front £14 rear £12. When you add this up and add VAT...like I said if genuine parts could be sourced cheaper than I'd like to know.

i to brought both front and rear discs/pads of ebay at around £70 fronts and £80 rears...they came with mintex pads...
the only thing i would recommend to do is to paint the 'hub' bit as mine did go a bit rusty.. ... - .- -.

I put Brembo discs on my Td6. Try www. performancebrakesonline.

Ferodo Premiers are a good pad as well - my LR indy uses them above genuine and normally a stickler for only using genuine parts.

Well the hub part is the most annoying rust part and that can easily be painted.

The rest should come off nice and quick once driving Smile

I'd never go for drilled again after my coop experiences but dimpled and grooved only.

These are my fronts.

And these are my rears.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130723241677

I use my FF offroad and don't hammer a lot of heat into the brakes from zipping to and fro but they still get warm.

The things are very heavy!

I have painted my hub sections on them but will do at some point if it bother me but i have bigger fish to fry at the minute and they aren't that easy to see anyway Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Dan, discount appreciated but still coming in at quite a bit. What is the discount exactly! Is it free postage? Just looked at thee bay link above and they only supply one wear indicator per pair of pads and disc. Aren't the wear indicators fitted on each hub?
