More a confession than a boast.

The only way to really resolve these issues is to replace the worn clutchs and TC and use the upgraded sonnax valve block.

I'd also reccomend the ECU upgrade offered by a german company i believe. It will help reduce stress on the clutches and TC by allowing earlier lockup and less slipping.

Just my tuppenth and its not a cheap job even if done DIY but when your spending £2k its gotta be worth it surely.

i've read some about the sonnax valve block. Do you know who fix the gearbox with the kit?

For the moment my gearbox is perfect! I know my fullfat had a new one at 120000 kms and it has 186000Kms at the moment... But always afraid when be my turn!

But i'm in Portugal and is also a problem to send the transmission to UK to be fixed!

But i want to study this case in advance... to when it happens i know what to do.

Yours have any gearbox replacement with soonar kit?

Or anyone in the forum have that experience?

I also read with the kit, the gearbox will turn in a very reliably gearbox almost with vitality guarantee... is that a myth?

cleughy hows your gearbox getting along since you had it done ?
I just had Robbs garage recommended to me by another garage who send all there gearbox work over to him, for when my gearbox fails, . Apparently they have invested in proper equipment for testing the boxes and do a refurbishment / upgrade of your own box. What did they do for you ? Refurbish your box or supply and fit a refurbished box ? What did it cost you and what sort of warranty did you get ? Mines going to need doing soon me thinks...... Whistle

i paid just over £2000 for a total refurb of my box, after 11 months the clutch went and they replaced it FOC under the 12 month cover, apart from that not a peek of mischief (touch wood)
