Why would you want a TD6 when a V8 petrol would probably be cheaper to buy, make little odds on running costs if you hardly ever use it, and be waaaaaaayyyyyyyyy better to drive...?

Just my view obvo. Graham

^ Exactly going TD6 is madness as your paying a premium for an inferior engine compared to the excellent Petrols.... Shocked

The TD6 is a really good reliable engine, its simply overshadowed by the magnificent TDV8 engine range. The premium price isn't worth it if your not going to drive it very often Only difference being that the TD6 appears to be more reliable & when remapped gives over 200hp.

Resale value dear boy resale value...

Where we are in the country petrol FFRR's are not rated at all neither is the 4.4 petrol engine in general, so if i want to convert a saleable cheap demo then it has to be a TD6...

No offence meant to all the 4.4 lovers on this forum Bow down

Thumbs Up

But you pay less to start with and then sell for less so nobody loses and as proved in another thread overall depreciation will be same/similar?

Confused by why it makes sense to pay more just so you get more back, at the end of the market you are looking at deprecation will not differ but the GM box may just pack up on a high miler.... Whistle

I also don't believe that you will have to sell to country folk in Gloucestershire, Range Rover buyers at either end of the market travel for the car they want dear boy (especially conversions) and I should know that. Smile

The point is Gaz, if petrol FF's are not desirable here it matters not what your margin is... If they don't sell
