Wheel and tyres stolen from my garage!

Hello chaps! I need some help from the Full Fat collective because my Range Rover wheels and tyres were stolen from my garage last night, and neither my home insurers nor car insurance will cover the claim - one because they are parts of a motorised vehicle, and the other because they were not actually on the car. So I'm roughly £2k out of pocket with no way of using insurance to get anything back.

They are 20" wheels and I only bought them last year. They have two part worn Continental Contact tyre, plus two Toyos which are conspicuous because they are nearly new but both are badly worn on the outer edges because the tracking on my car was out last year.

If anyone sees an advert anywhere for some similar wheels, especially in the South Yorkshire, North Notts, Derbyshire areas, but anywhere in the North really, can you please e-mail me? Thanks.

EDIT: Just realised my Boardman bike has gone as well. F**********K!!!!

I'd keep your eye on ebay and gumtree as they could appear there Smile i have been doing the same with my Bike but no luck yet!

I think its become epidemic again for garages being broken into after xmas with older stuff being put in there for space and so on Sad FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Shocked sorry to hear that. I suppose it's not just the fact stuff was taken, the thought of some Censored scumbag entering your property is pretty shocking as well.
Will this be the same for everyone else storing winter/summer wheels? They might not be covered? Or have you just been unlucky with a poor insurance company? Previously..

I've got a Premium policy with M+S Home Insurance - i think it's AXA who underwite it. Hardly a dodgy online policy! I think everyone should check their small print.

Keeping an eye on Fleabay and Gumtree is a great idea. If you spot them I'd win them and turn up to collect with the rozzers in tow...b*stards! Thumbs Up Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...

its how you prove they are yours though? i guess putting a unique mark on each wheel is the best idea or data taggin them. You can paypal direct using - www.paypal.me/duckworthparts

I've made sure my spares are unique Smile Pictures of where they are damaged and the weights as well.

Im guessing the best way would be an RFID tag inside each one oin the opposite side to the valve to help as a counter weight as it were to make balancing easier... FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

seriously though Dans idea of putting an unique mark on the inside of the wheels would help but you cant really mark a tyre..

but how many peeps have wheel/tyres being nicked from a garage to warrant doing anything like that.... ... - .- -.

probably worth investing in a marker pen though, would work better for Sport owners who have their spare wheels stolen alot You can paypal direct using - www.paypal.me/duckworthparts

wheels in garage would benefit from a chain through them and padlocked to something secure...RRS owners can buy blanking plates which fit under the spare which stops theft.. ... - .- -.
