Are you using the pioneers inbuilt amp or are you going to run a separate amp in the boot?

Ill defo be fitting two amps, I'm tempted to rewire the door with new speakers but if I can pick up the speaker wires in the rear it would make life easier as I can keep the original speakers for a bit? I'll run a 4 channel amp to the doors, and a mono to a new custom sub box mounted in original position!

Well that's the plan Whistle

Got the screen working yet? My nav disc player is faulty and if I have a disc in it nothing else works on my audio and the player screen goes blank but backlit. I wrestle with the player to give up the disc, turn my car off & on and everything's back to normal.

I use my iPhone nav now, I'm not overly bothered about nav or tv etc. I was going to remove every single bit of the OEM install and go down the aftermarket route, it's tempting because of the features most new units have but I decided to pass on the idea because I didn't want to loose my on board computer.

You could relocate your screen to your glovebox and would still have the display below your clocks, someone here has done exactly that. the slightly dated audio has grown on me now though Razz

I've seen that, it's a great idea but I have a blank screen so can't see anything anyway!

Joe is definitely your audio guru.

Did you get the disc out of your nav unit, or was it never stuck?

Can you see mpg etc on your high line display?

I can take disc in and out fine!! Dash display is fine! Radio and cd changer work ok! I just have no display on the screen to change anything!
When I disconnect the sat unit compleatly the music turns off after a minute or so, I then have to turn off then back on the left round button to get another minute of music??
When I connect the sat unit straight to the tuner (blue plug) still no screen.
Also front door speakers are failing! Turning on and off intermittently?

Remember the amp is active this means if you keep the original speakers they will need simple crossovers or bi amp wiring, as the factory amp did this originally.

That's cool, I need a 2x 3way passive x overs for the front and 2x 2 ways for the rear door speakers!

The plan is now coming together!
