The tank is quite easy to access. Removing the back seat is about the hardest bit as it is so damn heavy, but after that, fairly straight forward. There are inspection covers in the floor, remove these then there is an inspection plate on one side of the tank, and the plumbing and electrics in the plate on the other side. Undo the plug and hose clamps, then slide the hoses of the barbs - this is a bit fiddly, but once off, the plate, pipes and pump come straight out. The pump is then easy to change on the bench. If you have a few basic tools and a couple of hours, give it a go. Cheers - Gav. |

I had rough running and would not rev over around 1800rpm and assumed it was an injector or fuel pump, but it turned out to be the fuel injector wiring loom that had failed (independent loom that just plugs into the rest of the electrical circuit). Turned out to be a relatively cheap part in the end @£58 + vat if I recall which didn't seem bad for the item I was getting. Steve

When my loom failed , I got no warning messages at all, the car just ran very rough (I was about 20 miles into a 60mile trip home when it happened so I nursed it home). Steve
