The mis-alignment wasn't the problem. It was the symptom. You can align it until the cows come home. But it won't stay aligned ![]() |

Yes, and one that Land Rover had desperately tried to fix through issuing Technical Bulletins to the garages giving detailed instructions on how to set up the alignment accurately :
In June 2008 they finally threw in the towel and began their Loyalty Assurance Programme (which was definitely not a recall ![]() Even before that they were replacing propshafts and final drives (to the old design) free of charge – including my car, after its spline failed. When I bought my 2005 (US) FFRR, that was the first thing I checked, and I would not have purchased the vehicle if the repair/recall had not been done.
