Not sure of the etiquette for these (it will be the first time i have been to a club organised event) so thought i would ask if it is ok to bring an offroad buddy that has a 110 (it has a winch that may come in useful) ?

As with previous trips to the plaine with the forum, the "etiquette" has always been to try to make it a fun family day out with like minded people... Not thugs in modded 90's tearing up the plaine ruining it for the rest who are trying to learn...

That said, i have been at least 5 times now and have not seen a winch needed as its all supposed to be "non damaging" as to not risk members paintwork etc...

Craig Thumbs Up

Thanks CTC for a good summary of how we are approaching the day out. More talk and tea than Camel trophy.

Note regarding winches, having a winch is good as long as you are bright enough to use it before you have churned up the track and bottomed out in your own self dug pit. Using a winch then is definitely in the spirit of "tread lightly" 2019 D5 HSE Lux SDV6 Indus

As previously mentioned it is designed to be a FFRR day but all welcome. Defenders will not be challenged.

Just realised it is May already!

For planning could those who are coming just re-confirm (indicate too if you are bottling out and bringing a non FFRR). We have currently a leader (me) plus a shiny P38 and FL2 from my regular crew. But this is especially setup for the forum members (we are out two weeks earlier for our regular session off road) so let's try for more than 1 member.

Looking forward to it.

Nick,

I'll be there in my stock FFRR. Been looking forward to it for months now.

Cheers,

I think the Plain is en-route to the River Dart (from wherever you start in the country) and a fully laden FFRR will eat it for breakfast. Sell it as an opportunity to go cultural and see Stonehenge?

Thanks for letting me know, enjoy the guy-lines and tent pegs. 2019 D5 HSE Lux SDV6 Indus

Gaz, is this what ye had in mind?
Fairly portabuble and ideal for a jaunt on The Plain!!
Fit rather 'snug' ontop of yer Rangie.
