This type tend to be for decoration only, they're not intended as protection, well maybe in a subliminal sense.

The road legal ones are designed to break away if they hit anything (human or otherwise) and offer little protection. I put one on a D3 once and it suited it back in the Chrome half Mirror days, however....

This one is all stainless so I dont think it will be breaking anywhwere, its only illegal for a manufacturer to fit it, you can fit what you want same as a jaguar for instance on a bonnet (the queens RR has a bonnet mascot that manufacturers have not been allowed to fit since the 80's. Its not the bar its the fixings that HAVE to break if its a Legal one. They are designed to snap and the bar folds back into the bonnet causing no additional injuries. Trust me I looked into this big time and without the relevant EU approval rating they are illegal.

But I dont want it to break !!! I reckon if you get hit by FFRR going 30-40mph a snapping bull bar aint going to make any difference, cars dont give that much, trust me I just hit one at over 50mph!!!
