United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover SE Td6 Zermatt Silver
Overfinch Value

How much does a properly prepared "Official" Overfinch 2008/58 60k miles Range Rover spec add to the normal trade value of that Range Rover which is say £25000 normally.

Opinions invited.... Thumbs Up

depends who wants to buy it...most fullfat buyers wont buy anything that's customised but a few might so its a limited market ... i think no more than an extra £2k for the privilege of owning one.. ... - .- -.

Hi Gaz

Please see below link to a review of the CAP Black book report on Overfinch conversions:

http://www.carsuk.net/overfinch-range-rove...ar-market/

A used Overfinch which is properly prepared is typically worth 23% more than the list price of a standard car according to their findings.

If you require any further information please drop me a line.

Thanks

Jordan

Yes but proper Overfinch prepared/sold (not just Overfinch parts/bumpers)is a tad different to a home customised Range Rover....

I wouldn't worry about selling a used Overfinch, I have dealers coming to me with standard cars asking to convert them to Overfinch spec to make them more saleable all the time.

United Kingdom 2014 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Corris Grey

It's all VERY personal Gaz. All of these conversions are properly marmite. To the right person they command a very good premium and to others they make the car un-buyable.

There are a few at my Son's school, 3 I recall, of which 2 are Sports and then there are quite a lot more standard cars which you would expect. Clearly somebody buys them but very few appeal to most people who buy a FFRR. It would probably add a lot more value to the Sport than it does to the Vogue as the Sport tends to be the more "Showy" of the 2.

Being honest, modern Overfinches are only cosmetic changes; gone are the days when it included the fitting of a 5.7L Chevvy block (sadly) so the value really does depend on how much a person is willing to pay for bling. Secondhand I would say it is a limited amount probably. The sort of person who can afford Overfinch buys it new so once its on the 2nd owner it becomes more of a "Oh that's nice" kind of thing rather than something you would pay big premiums for.

Me personally? No. I would probably not want one unless it was for zero premium over a standard car, oh...unless............Now, if you could find me a RR Classic Overfinch with the said Chevvy block...... Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2015 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Santorini Black

Personally i think there would be a good market for a proper Overfinch and i would expect to pay a decent premium. When i bought my FF last year i was looking around for an Overfinch. They are in relatively limited numbers and all sold quickly and for good prices, much more than standard. I couldnt find a good one in my price bracket so gave it up. I probably wouldnt disagree with Jordan that a 25% premium on retail would not be out of the way in my experience. Not sure how that would transfer to trade value L405 4.4 SDV8 Santorini/Black VSE

Have to agree "gone are the days of real OVERFINCH bespoke cars" they are now just a bodykit manufacturer (and a poor quality one unfortunately) Wheels and leather stitching...

Sorry Jordan, but with the likes of Guy Salmon putting together cars now the brands appeal i believe is dwindling...

Far too many inferior quality copied parts around too!

Everyone's entitled to their opinions Craig but I'd have to disagree,

Firstly, Land Rover have come a long way since the Overfinch Chevrolet engine days. Take a 5L Supercharged car coupled with our remap and upgraded pulley which produces 575BHP and I really don't feel you need any more power from a Range Rover. At the end of the day it is a 4x4 not a supercar so how fast do you really want to travel in one?

Secondly, since acquiring the Overfinch brand in November 2010 Autobrokers has strived to improve product quality. We have changed numerous suppliers and we now work with a number of tier 1 and 2 suppliers to JLR to ensure our quality is parallelled if not better. For example, our budget for grains of leather is more than JLR are willing to spend so our latest nappa leather interiors are a cut above the Autobiography range.

I also feel that our strong relationship with Sytner and the fact that Land Rover main dealers feel confident enough to offer our products through their outlets actually strengthens the appeal of the brand and gives consumers more confidence than ever before that Overfinch is the number one choice when it comes to aftermarket Land Rover enhancements.

The CAP report, which found that fully converted Overfinch vehicles carry a 23% higher residual value also serves the brand well with regards to financing an Overfinch and gives people more confidence when deciding whether to enhance their standard car with Overfinch parts as they know they will see some return on their investment over and above other aftermarket enhancements available.

Totally agree with you about the counterfeit products, like any successful brand be it Rolex watches or Chanel handbags, there will always be people who are willing to buy copies at a fraction of the true retail price but with our in-house legal team we are defiant in combatting any counterfeiting operations.

Thank you all for your opinions, any feedback is appreciated whether it is positive or negative.

Regards

Jordan Sloane

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE Supercharged Santorini Black

hi guys,

When i was looking for a full fat a normal s/c vogue se did not appeal at all,
didnt really like the look, therefore went for a real overfinch conversion,
which was very very costly.
Jordan ,yes your correct they do command a premium you just need to look around a 2007 s/c overfinch
can fetch anything between £27,000 to £31,000.
i recently got an excellent trade in price when i had lost my marbles and thought i could live without it,
but was having palpitations and panic attacks at the thought of handing over the keys.
So i ended up buying a fully loaded mini clubman as the other car lol to satisfy the urge.
Overfinch an institution ...........
