Our 2012 FFRR just hit 3K miles, so keeping with my regiment, I will have the oil changed. This in spite of the manufacturers recommended first service at 15K, which is free.

This said, I am not close to the dealership so I must rely on a local garage. I looked on line for a quality oil filter and found one through NAPA Auto Parts. The cost on this filter is over $50.00!

The question I have, is it very difficult to change the oil on a 2012 FFRR HSE? If so, I will "suck-it-up" and go to the selling dealer who is 60 miles from our home.

Not sure on the price of a filter for your vehicle but that sounds expensive. Can you not have your LR dealer post you a genuine filter?

I can get one from the dealer, however, I found a site that sells OE filters for $39.95 US. I am not going to "stress" over the cost, I just want to be sure that the quality is up to par.
