Shouldnt be too much, the best bet is to find a local trimmer in the yellow pages and get a quote. Will be a lot less than a new base |

What colour is it? I have re connolised mine from sand to black but noticed that covers on E.bay are not that expensive, the bases are around £40 I believe. Tip....... if you go that route buy a new seat foam and the seat will feel like new. Search the bay then as they often come up in the lighter colours. darker ones not so often and especially not the drivers side |

The main issue with your idea Will is that the driver's one will always be knackered. I've been looking for ages now so I can replace mine.

Ive seen bases and backs really cheap on ebay, only the black ones are more expensive but still under £100. If you buy new seat cover the seat will then look new like the rest. One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

Then you still have to strip the seat and all its wiring and and get it all to fit, I stripped mine right back and changed colour from sand to black and fitted 2011 leather front door panels and changed the dash pad etc, flocked all the trim in the boot in black and the rear shelf. Also Im pretty sure the heater element is seperate to cover in the base of the seat which is prob the worn part. One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

I think the heater element was part of the seat cover on early cars and became separate later on...... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

according to microcat, the seat heating is serviced as part of the seat cover to vin 6A999999 from 7A > its available as a separate item, thats not to say its not removable on earlier seats, just not available separately i think........ There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
