Cost to get drivers leather seat repaired

Every seat looks as new apart from drivers which is worn and slightly torn on edge as you get out.

Anyone know what the cost of getting this repaired is?

Shouldnt be too much, the best bet is to find a local trimmer in the yellow pages and get a quote. Will be a lot less than a new base Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

What colour is it? I have re connolised mine from sand to black but noticed that covers on E.bay are not that expensive, the bases are around £40 I believe. Tip....... if you go that route buy a new seat foam and the seat will feel like new. One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

Search the bay then as they often come up in the lighter colours. darker ones not so often and especially not the drivers side Sad Would be nice if Overfinch actually let us know how much they would charger for the ones they take off for their trims to be put on... FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

The main issue with your idea Will is that the driver's one will always be knackered. I've been looking for ages now so I can replace mine.

The seat foam is about 40 quid plus the usual from Dan, but the new leather base cover was about 370 plus vat.

I am talking to a local trimmer about getting some new bases made for the fronts although he reckons the passenger side will be fine if re-connolised. Driver's side is all stretched though as you might expect after 95k miles. Even over a new foam it looks tired and creased.

If anyone comes across the right answer to this then I'm all ears.

Dom.

Ive seen bases and backs really cheap on ebay, only the black ones are more expensive but still under £100. If you buy new seat cover the seat will then look new like the rest. One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

Iirc that the drivers and pasenger bases are the same.

It can be a bit hit and miss on the bay.

Has to be right colour, piping, heated/not heated, right style for the seat, add all the variables together and your chances of finding one which is right is quite small. Might be one out there though, ive been looking on and off for a heated jet with jet piping, with heat for a 2008 vogue non perforated, for a while to replace mine when it gets too shabby. No luck yet.

Maybe in the new year Whistle There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Then you still have to strip the seat and all its wiring and and get it all to fit, I stripped mine right back and changed colour from sand to black and fitted 2011 leather front door panels and changed the dash pad etc, flocked all the trim in the boot in black and the rear shelf. One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

I think the heater element was part of the seat cover on early cars and became separate later on...... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

according to microcat, the seat heating is serviced as part of the seat cover to vin 6A999999 from 7A > its available as a separate item, thats not to say its not removable on earlier seats, just not available separately i think........ There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
