Wheel Nuts - Overfinch Super Sport Seven's

Hi Guys,

I bought new wheel nuts as mine were badly corroded I bought these from ebay which seem to be the correct type for the 02 - 05 L322 :-

However upon removal of the wheel nuts it has become apparent that the wheel nuts installed with my 22 inch Overfinch Super Sport Seven's (installed by the previous owner) look more like the Range Rover Sport wheel nuts:-

Question is has the previous owner installed the wrong wheel nuts or is it common practice to install the larger nuts with Overfinch wheels? I would be grateful for any comments guys as obviously I want to ensure everything is safe and that I both the right nuts for the car and my alloys

You've bought the wrong wheel nuts to fit your wheels even though they are correct for your year of car.
You need the same pattern of wheel nut as fitted presently ie the second option in your post.

The nuts have to match the wheels, not the car.

The thread is the same, it's the bore on the wheels / diameter of the nuts that changed.

If new (bigger) nuts fit, then they are the right ones. The old (narrower) nuts would fit, but will shake themselves loose, so don't do it, get some new nuts Thumbs Up
