Raise the headrest enough so you can get your hand under it and give a firm "tap" upwards between the posts. At the bottom of each stem is a ball shape which sits in a plastic socket and it just needs a bit of gentle persuasion to release. To refit gently position headrest into place and tap firmly from the top to relocate each stem back into its socket.
