I have bought replacements from Dan @ Duckworths and they always work after being programmed |

could be a a mistake like you say when inputting the VIN with the factory.

Thank you for the response. The keys quite obviously look different. Maybe the VIN error is the explanation. I do not know about the exact procedure, but I assume that eventually somewhere someone must punch in the numbers.

yea VIN will be taken at time of order and then entered again when ordering the key from the factory.
