Car is a 2004 L322 4.4

Got the aircon regas done yesterday at Kwik Fit- air con blows ice cold now but today noticed large puddles around the car- had the aircon running all day.

Whenever the aircon is running, what seems to be coolant is dripping from the locations circled in the picture. As soon as aircon is turned off, it stops.

I've only ever driven the car without aircon so this is the first time I've noticed it. Waiting for it to cool down before I inspect how much coolants been lost.

Possibly a combination of the very hot weather and the air con condenser working extra hard to cool the air? Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

you will see it on all AC, dont think its can be as bad as a comercial system as the can suffer blocked or cracked drip trays, this is when it starts dripping from the corners ect. but you have no worries,what did they charge you for the regas..

So I won't stop using the AC then! That would of been of been painful after its started working so good.

They charged £50. Called around 3 branches, first 2 said they were all booked up- had a rush of customers with the hot weather but the third told me to bring it in. Hooked it up to the AC690 machine which did all the work- took around 45mins and the car started blowing ice cold air.

Was a little shocked today when I saw the stream of water dripping. Don't get this weather often, barely drive and therefore incredibly rarely use AC so being completely unfamiliar I thought the worst!

Your AC is also a dehumidifier so all of the cold water is perfectly normal... Your kitchen fridge will have a drain hole in the bottom and the water drips onto a hot part of the motor which makes it evaporate hence you don't see the water at home on the kitchen floor! All perfectly normal

This will increase with humidity as well, which is why you are noticing it more now its hot(ish) My Previous RR's!

Agreed looks quite a lot, but it is;

A: hot
B: humid

So perfectly normal, to convince yourself

1. With the engine cold check the coolant level
2 run the engine with the ac on, put a tub to collect the water. Allow to run up to temp.
3. Save water in tub and let engine fully cool overnight
4. Recheck the coolant level. Bet it will be the same and there will be no way the water collected will fit in the expansion tank without increasing the level. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
