I would check in the handbook to make sure this is the correct fuse and it's rating. Thumbs Up

And the handbook shows fuse 49 serves the navigation, obc, monitor and audio system?
Is the fuse intact?
Can't understand how it comes to be 10A, I would have thought it would have blown when all the bits came on.

Don't know what to suggest re fuse 49, if it was my car I would change it to 30A.
But I would worry why a previous owner chose to reduce it in the first place.

Have you checked the 10A fuse in the radio tuner?

To check it remove the plug on the top, it's sitting just below.

hi nicedayforit, im a little confused now, i have just gone out to the motor and checked the fuse panel again. the fuse in place 49 is actually 15amp not 10 as i first said, the fuse cover also shows it should be 15amp in this position ? but the handbook defo states it should be a 30amp fuse?

no i have not checked the radio fuse in the actual unit. please excuse my ignorance but is the lear amp the radio unit? or is it somewhere else?

Can't help you with Fuse 49, mines definitely 30A. Could be different for your touchscreen but the handbook hasn't caught up.
10A fuse in radio tuner, not the Lear dsp unit.
The radio tuner is located below a floor panel just in front of the tv tuner.
Need to take the black plastic floor panel up.

HI GUYS just a quick one !! i have just returned from the range rover garage as just had a oil change. ( 198euro) JUST for 8 litres of oil . ( think i will arrange servicing/weekend break in uk next time )
anyway i did ask them to put the car on the dianostic computer to see if it came up with any reason for the loss of audio/navigation? it was plugged in for one hour, and the end result was that it said there was nothing wrong with the gps; audio etc ????. i dont know if that gives you guys any clues into what it might be now? but when it stops raining, i will look at the nokia module with the optic loop, ( when it arrives ), or the straw method if it dont turn up, then check the radio internal fuse, optics, plugs etc etc etc and report back to you all.

trying to keep myself positive, but frustrating all the same.

bob

Hi sorry to butt in but i am watching this as i am having same radio/cd/sat problem but noted your comment re oil change. National tyres are doing oil changes at the minute for £85.00 Castrol Edge 5W40 Fully Synthetic (includes oil filter) i have used them a few times now without probs. Worth considering on your next uk visit.
(and a 10% off voucher at moment online)

Bob, you just need to hold the 2 ends of the optics together when you unclip them from the Nokia connector. It only takes a minute and is very easy to do. From reading the posts, you are going round in circles mate. If your fuses were blown you would have no power, but you say there is power to everything?! If you want to rule out the Nokia go and take both optic cables out of the holder, touch them tightly together and if the nokia was at fault, the system will burst into life. Previously..

hi guys, thanks for the replies, firstly regarding the oil change, yes i am now going to tie a yearly visit in with a service etc in the uk. i have just been charged 370euo for an oil change and a 35 minute dianostic on the computer. so lesson finely learnt.

with regard to the optic test, ok i will give this a try as you suggest contraband. yes i did say there is power to everything, ie i can eject and load the cd changer in the glovebox, i can load and eject the dvd in the computer rom drive in the boot, and the screen comes on, but just with the LR logo. however, i dont know about the radio side of it, whether that would cause the problems? as i have not checked if there is power to this.

so it has been suggested that i check the internal fuse in the actual module which i now know is under the plastic panel in the boot on the left side so i will look at this as well.

actually i am really eager to try this nokia test, and i will be so pis&é'd off if it dont BURST into life again. as im kind off putting all my money on this being the problem ,? if you know what i mean.

stupid yes, but i cant help it.

i hope you find your fault as well mate. all the best

bob
