This is not about FFRR but about the site search function

If I do a search and then read one of the topics when I use the back button it says the page is expired so I have to search again if I want to read another topic. Is this the same for everyone or am I missing something obvious.

Unfortunately I think it's a limitation of the site's basic coding....

If I'm searching for things, I open them up in a new tab (ctrl+Click) and then after I've clicked on as many as I think are relevant I then go through them all. If you still havent found what your looking for, you can keep browsing as long as you didnt close the original tab....

I use the same principle for google because often to get the info I need, I might want to quickly scan through multiple pages but still having the main search results for refrence.

Depends how much research you do daily really to find what works for you.

Moved to the site feedback forum.

It is as Dan says a site "feature" - because the search is based upon the text you enter, the browser can warn that it believes the page has expired (because there might be new data to show you). You should be able to refresh and it will re-submit the search without having to start all over again.

What browser are you using?
