The wheel looks damaged to me, the bottom of it should be flush with the body of the towbar the whole way round. Yours is definitely at a jaunty angle |

That's what I thought, that will be why it's all been removed in one piece then, there dosen't look to be any marks on the wheel where it may have hit the ground and bent it so wonder how it got bent :s have to buy a new towbar then |

tis damaged indeed...these do seize because of where they are basically, underneath the range......these are always on ebay and i would pay a little extra and get a new one, but leave it off until you need to use it.. ... - .- -.

It might be ok if its just lock . Once its secure I wouldnt think it should affect functionality? I would fit it and test how solid it is. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

If you're happy with taking the whole assembly on and off I would be tempted to weld it in solid so that should the lock fail it isn't going to go anywhere. If you feel the need to buy a new part then pfjones are cheapest for proper westfalia parts |

Mines is welded. i just take the whole thing off and leave it in the garage until i need it. only 1 bolt so not hard to do. either that, pf jones do seem to be the cheapest for westfalia towbars. '04 td6 se
