They are controlled by the LCM (Lighting Control Module) - it's worth looking for error codes there. Also check all fuses (obvious!) and look for shorts - mine were out when I got the car, and the short was inside the passenger door at the front where the power goes to light up the LED in the interior door handle.

OK will try there 1st. Just a quick one, I was under the impression that the LCM only controlled exterior lighting, am I well wrong ? |

Yes - it controls the exterior lighting - and everything associated with it. So the interior lights that come on with the exterior lights (Dashboard, door handles, waterfall etc) are all through it - I think the main interior lights (in the roof and boot) are also controlled by it. |

Good luck - chances are it's a cheap fix (probably a bit of insulating tape!) but tracking it down can be a nightmare. The LCM is meant to control the current if there is a short, to stop the MOS-FET output transistors from frying - but I wouldn't drive around with out diagnosing the fault for too long... |
