United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Buckingham Blue
Just Renewed 12 Month Warranty

I've had my RR 12 months next month, so the 12 month warranty from the dealer will expire.

The car is a 2003 Td6 with 120k on the clock.

The renewal was £289 with Auto Protect. including turbo cover, with a £5000 individual claim limit and unlimited mileage for 12 months cover.

It included £40 to cover the Turbo.........

Didn't think that was too bad ?

Especially as I'm pretty sure I'm on the original gearbox........ 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Not bad at all! I struggled to find anywhere that would cover a car once past 100k miles Sad FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Yes, I thought 100k was some kind of cut off. I have just renewed mine at £99, but it's the one you have to breakdown and get towed to the dealer before they will pay for it.. Previously..

Having got the letter, I never thought for one minute that I'd renew, but when she said £299, then "If you can commit today" £249 I though it was worthwhile.........she then asked if I wanted the turbo covering, and that it was £40 extra..........£289.

....and they do 10 months interest free credit.

Never bought a warranty myself on a car.....will see how it goes.

I've had a quick check of their site and it appears they only do stuff through dealers and so on, so thats why its possibly extendable so cheaply.

I wouldn't mind one of the if it breaks down type ones but most are £20 and £500 claim limit.... FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Apologies if its only if you extend from a dealers warranty.......it is what I've done, but thought they can't be far off for an outright purchase ? 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

I had to pay to get car back then hope they paied up.
I also think gearbox place charged over the odds because it was a warranty job Mine was a blue one! Smile

When Warranty Direct were covering my gearbox failure, the first place I took it to refused to jump through the hoops, so I asked WD who they would recommend, got it moved there, and no problem. I think some companies are good at dealing with warranty companies, others take the Censored , and others still refuse to play ball.

To me the best way is to check with the warranty company who they would recommend for the work which needs doing, then you should have a relatively painless claim. Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

I know I have already said this elsewhere, but Warranty Direct were good with me. M J Fews in Gloucs diagnosed failed Diff, they contacted Warranty Direct on the Monday AM, job done by Wed Lunch time, I paid for the work, submitted service info etc. WD paid up within a couple of weeks. Really cant say fairer than that. Guess as others have said, it depends on the Dealer, just lucky to have MJ Fews to look after my car, cannot recommend them enough to be honest.

In my experience you only get what you pay for and a decent warranty on a Range Rover is going to privately cost between £600-£1000 for 12 months cover.

Although much cheaper products are on offer do not be surprised if they do not pay out these companies make a profit remember.

I would only use WarrantyWise, Warranty-Direct & Land Rover Extended. Thumbs Up
