Fuel quality in the map?

Stick a NAS map on the car and see as it should have some more torque as well FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Fuel's pretty much the same - their 91 octane ((RON + MON)/2) is roughly our 95 RON, and 93 roughly 98.

All modern OEM ECUs advance and retard ignition to suit fuel anyway.

We aren't talking about their fuel vs ours we are talking about US fuel vs ROW fuel Wink the maps have to accommodate this and it's not beyond possibility that the row and US engine maps are different in that the row is more conservative. Yes the ecu can adjust fuelling and timing but only within it's limits. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

The car is currently managing around 384g/s for the mass air flow readings at about 5900 rpm, which equates to around 480bhp, but that's only if conditions are perfect, so the actual could be somewhere between 430-480 bhp. I'm about to route the air filter down near the floor to get colder air as the intake temps are around 40c when it's 20c outside, hoping to get this down to only +10c above ambient as it won't suck air from the top of the engine bay.

Tasp don't move the filter down, it will just get more cack. Get one of those forced induction filter setups.

Like this but maybe a smidge bigger,

http://www.spoox.co.uk/en/c2/1129-citroen-...n-kit.html these are much better as you can sit it behind the grill and get cleaner air from next to the rads and higher up.

After this your really going to need to look at a CC setup to get the best use of space and all. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Won't get more cack as it's still quite protected in there. The ITG doesn't have enough flow rate and would act as a restrictor. Even the BMC cdas are a bit dodgy really.

So what you need is a bonnet scoop that feeds straight into one forcing even more air in Wink FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

So why would the split be USA vs everyone else, given fuels are comparable across major markets?

The worst fuel in the states is 87. In row it can be anything as some will a test to. Especially in a country where it could have been sat in a tank for weeks and wasn't that good to start with. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

So the US gets special ECU mapping which makes more power because you can buy crappy 91 RON fuel there?

Logically speaking their lowest fuel is better than low fuels in the row region. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

... and the owner's manual will tell you to use 91 premium (which is equivalent to our our 95). There's 85 (89 RON) at the pump in the higher-altitude states.
