The twin screw is a much better design and setup and will give you the same boost for a lot less drain from the engine never mind reduced intake temps which again help with power..

Indeed, unfortunately the kit and fitting is around £8k. Since the GF is hinting were at the "new house, marriage and kids" stage it's not something I can easily get away with. However without the new house, marriage and kids I could have a L405 Supercharged and no GF to tell me off for driving it in a "lively" manner. Hmmm decisions decisions

Well the labour is about £2k to have it installed, and at the same time you have to ensure everything is at it's best in the engine, or the twin screw will cause havoc. There's a bit of adjustment needed, but I think the FFRR would be cheaper as you wouldn't have to change the throttle body to a 90mm one as I think we already have that.

TBH the internals and other bits should be ok unless you start running more boost.

Only if the pulley is the same diameter will their be an increase in boost or pressure, ideally the pulley would increased in size a little so as to ensure less airflow is pushed through and that its matched to near standard or just above. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Boost pressure is in effect just a measure of restriction - 1 bar through a small supercharger is not going to produce the same result as 1 bar through a bigger one. |

True it doesnt take into account flow which is measure by the AFM but for most intent purposes is the easiest method for most people to understand whats happening in the simple form of for say 1000 rpm input you would get the following out of either type;

The 5.0 uses an Eaton "next generation" twin-screw I believe. It also has direct cylinder injection which is why it has more power but is more frugal. It can also push 575hp with just a remap, changing pulleys sends it north of 600!
