what other options are there for it? If you want a wiper hidden out of sight and a split tail gate, the only option is at the top of the screen. The Sport has a wiper at the bottom and doesn't get goo running down it, but then it looks cheap as the wiper is exposed and not hidden away... |

Another problem with the Sport version is that the widest part of the arc is at the base of the glass, not where the drivers vision is at the top of the glass! IMO, the Sport way is upside down.

might be better with a stronger spring so there's more blade pressure against the screen perhaps? Discovery 4 HSE

I get great wiping by the blade but the water spray bit doesn't work. Any ideas why not? the water pump for the front works fine. does the rear run off the same pump or does it have its own? (I have looked at the schematic but can't find a pump for the rear) |

If its not leaking, then the jets could be blocked. Try a sewing needle inside them. Note, the rear nozzles do not rotate, they are fixed so don't try and force them.

I like the way the rear wiper works. I like that it catches the spray and spreads the washing fluid across the screen.

The no return valve has failed in mine, which means I need to press it twice before I get spray, not exactly the end of the world, but it works fine.

Often, the spring pressure on wipers is not the way it was originally due to corrosion between the arm and the pivot. Get some penetrating oil and a couple of rags, park your rear wiper vertically and work the oil in by lifting the wiper to 90deg and back until it moves completely freely. I'd be willing to bet you'll see and feel a difference. The rear wipers work fine - except for the end of stroke dribble. But better the wiper than me...
