Bluefin not resetting to original.

2003 TD6 HSE
Went to reset Bluefin back to original setting today. Did as instructed and device said all done but the car would not start and dash kept reading everything as a fault. Revert back to Bluefin setting and I have no OBC display below instruments. I plug in the factory stereo unit to try to reset but nothing. The Display still works as I can use IID Gap tool on it. The push button on the indicator stalk does nothing but the display remains lit.
So I have 2 issues
1) Bluefin will not reset to original
2) OBC is not working after attempted reset
Are the 2 linked, seems like it to me as no problems before attempted reset. But maybe just bad timing.
Has anyone else had any of these problems?
I have sent Bluefin an email regarding the first matter and am awaiting a reply.
Maybe if I use the TestNr function I can sort my display?
I will try battery disconnect for 30 minutes for now

And I could find nothing in the Test NR settings.

A few weeks ago I investigated Bluefin for my TD6. I rang up and asked one of the technical people if my existing modifications (K&N, EGR removed and de-cat) would be a problem. He told me that Bluefin would not be appropriate for such a vehicle, as the system was designed for the car in it's standard form. No further discussion was forthcoming, so I left it at that.
I notice that you have similar mods, so I hope your problem isn't linked with this. There's probably no connection, but I thought I'd mention it.

Thanks for the reply Sea Aitch.
I can't see how those should make a difference as all they will do is bring up a soft fault code if any. A KN should not make any difference. The Cat has no circuitry to it and the EGR only has a vacuum feed. I assume the computer reads the amount of vacuum to sense whats going on.

I have just been and checked all the fuses and they as expected are all good. There is power to the old radio feed as I plug it in and use that to reset the clock or other settings.
And to top it all off I am now getting trans fail safe messages but I suspect that to be the transfer box motor resistor thingy. I will whip that off and give it a clean and good look at. I love looking at ridiculously expensive machinery that doesnt work. Crying or Very sad

It might be worth a call to Superchips, as the first thing the unit usually does is back up the original map, so it should be in there somewhere.
IIRC, the s/w package that comes with the unit should allow you to offload it onto a PC via USB. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Might be best to wait for them to reply, just in case you end up losing the original map, which could leave you right at the start of a very bumpy and long Censored creak with no paddle to be found! Whistle Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Anyone got any ideas?
Does anyone know where the OBC resides on a 2003 TD6 HSE?
Is it a seperate box or part of another component?

Thanks

This is the latest reply from Superchips

The older dashboards were notorious apparently but we haven’t heard anything for a long time, certainly about this exact problem. Whilst it is fairly obvious that the diagnostics process we go through has highlighted the problem, it is unlikely that it is the root cause. It would be certainly be a worthwhile exercise plugging in with a diagnostic tool to see what fault codes are stored and whether they can be erased, or it used directly to restore all dashboard displays

So has anyone had experience of this with their old dashes?
I have the IID Gaptool so will this pull the necessary codes but if it does where do I find what they mean.?

Thanks
