Big consideration to anyone considering the TDV6...

Unlike the SDV8 and V8SC, the TDV6 only includes an 85 litre fuel tank compared to 105 litres in the latter two.

So 10 litres shy of the current model and apparently better mpg. Can't really see an issue tbh. Land Rover Addict

20 litres shy of the current 4.4 TDV8. The fuel consumption increase isn't that much better to justify the reduction in fuel tank size IMO.

I'm not sure why this would be an issue ?
Don't you have petrol stations in every town etc ?

It's probably part of the plan too try and make it lighter so as to help being the mpg up.

There are a few better ways to bein the mpg up but would LR listen... I doubt it Wink FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Does anyone actually fill their FFRR to the top every time they get fuel? The most I have ever done is maybe 3/4. Mostly just over 1/2 each time. No shortage of garages round here. It must effect fuel consumption lugging an extra 1/2 tank around if not needed. Previously..

Brim it everytime when i fill up and yes there is a 50kg difference between 2/4-4/4 but the extra time and energy wasted only half filling isn't good either Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Always do fill 100% up. Get almost a 600 mile range...would love to see that being capable in a TDV6 on a 85 litre tank.

Well @ 1kg per ltr it is alot extra weight...

But, when i run my car on LPG it seems to make no difference to my overall MPG weather it has a full tank of petrol in or empty... Odd really...

full tank / empty tank ??

The difference is really only about the weight of a passenger. Difference on fuel economy? Not so as you'd notice.

I've always thought of it like that, it's about the weight of a passenger.

Always fill mine every time - For me, it's just not worth the hassle of stopping more frequently.

Always fill to the brim then run it down to the wire (20 miles range or less) so doesn't affect mpg. Might get the odd point increase if I only ever filled halfway but life is too short.... .
